05/31/2017 Complaint Download Complaint filed. Natural Resources Defense Council filed a lawsuit under the Freedom of Information Act to compel a response to its request for records of certain federal agencies' communications with the Trump transition team. The federal agencies for which communications were sought included the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, and the U.S. Department of the Interior. The complaint cited, among other things, reports that the Trump transition team "included 'secret' members who played a role in defining the Trump administration’s priorities and producing an 'action plan' for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency" and that a "climate change denier" was one of the secret members.
