    02/25/2020 Petition for Review Download Petition for review filed. Lawsuits Filed Challenging Department of Energy Decision to Leave Current Efficiency Standards for Incandescent Lamps in Place. Seven organizations led by Natural Resources Defense Council filed a petition in the Second Circuit Court of Appeals seeking review of the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE’s) December 2019 final rule concerning energy conservation standards for general service incandescent lamps. DOE finalized a determination that more stringent amended standards would not be economically justified. New York, 13 other states, and New York City and the District of Columbia filed a separate petition challenging the final rule.
