    02/14/2019 Verdict Jury awarded $330,000 to property owners. New Jersey Juries Awarded Compensation to Oceanfront Property Owners for Property Lost to Protective Dune System. A New Jersey state court jury reportedly awarded $330,000 to oceanfront homeowners in Ocean County as compensation for loss of land and oceanfront views due to the State’s construction of a dune system intended to protect the shoreline. The Associated Press article indicated that in the fall of 2018 a jury in another case awarded a Point Pleasant Beach homeowner $260,260 for the loss of his property due to the dune system.
