    01/27/2010 Petition for Writ of Mandate Petitions for writs of mandate filed. The Center for Biological Diversity filed seven lawsuits alleging that state forestry officials violated CEQA by approving a logging company’s plans to clear-cut 5,000 acres of forests without properly analyzing the project’s greenhouse gas impacts.  The complaint alleged that state officials arbitrarily and unlawfully concluded that greenhouse gas emissions resulting from the logging projects would be minimal.
