12/01/2020 Order Download Government's cross-motion for summary judgment granted and plaintiff's motion for summary judgment denied. Federal Court in Washington Upheld Forest Restoration Plan. The federal district court for the Eastern District of Washington upheld the U.S. Forest Service’s approval of the Mission Restoration Project, a plan whose aims were described as restoration of approximately 50,200 in the Methow Valley in Washington “to be more resilient to wildfire and climate change.” The court found that the project was consistent with the Standards and Guidelines of the Okanogan National Forest Land and Resource Management Plan and Final Environmental Impact Statement and that the Forest Service complied with the National Environmental Policy Act and the Endangered Species Act.
